- This is a Sources Sought announcement. The James A. Haley Veteran?s Hospital, Tampa, Florida is performing pre-solicitation market research to determine potential business sources and set-aside possibilities for VA Project 673-318, Construct Emergency Room, Phase I. Project scope includes all labor, materials, tools, equipment and supervision to construct a 12,500 SF add-on structure on slab and grade beam foundation with interior spaces for 12 urgent care patient beds, patient waiting and processing areas, staff areas, staff offices, and all associated support space and functions. Work will include reconfiguration of roads and parking spaces within the facility footprint. Interested parties are advised that above ceiling work in the existing main building may contain asbestos fireproofing. All work shall be completed within 365 calendar days, after receipt of Notice to Proceed. Potential firms must demonstrate recent and relevant experience successfully completing hospital or other medical facility related construction projects and be a small business; or small business in one or more of the following categories: Service Disabled-Veteran Owned (SDVO), HUBZone, 8(a), Disadvantaged (SDB), Woman-Owned (WOSB), Veteran-Owned (VOSB). Potential firms must be approved for NAICS Code 236220. Responses to this announcement are due no later than Friday, Apr 22nd, 2005. To be considered as a potential source, qualified parties must respond in writing to: Contracting Officer (90C), Attention: Benjamin Kosses, James A. Haley VA Hospital, 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd., Tampa, Florida, 33612. Responses must include: company name; point of contact; business type; and a list of all recently and successfully completed projects that are similar in size and scope, and include an affidavit of bonding capacity within the $2 to $5 million dollar range.
