- This announcement is for informational purposes only. The Government intends to negotiate and award a contract on a sole source basis to Rapiscan Systems for on-site extended preventative maintenance on Rapiscan Mobile Gull Wing X-Ray Screening Machines located in Mexico. The remedial maintenance repair and preventative maintenance will ensure continuity of operation and extend the life of the existing equipment. Rapiscan Systems is the source capable of servicing these machines effectively as Rapiscan is the manufacturer of the original equipment and the parts used in preventative maintenance, and has trained technicians specializing in Rapiscan's equipment. Inquiries regarding this anticipated award must be directed in writing to Sonja Rocks at RocksSM@state.gov and must be received no later than 2:00 PM April 14, 2005.
