- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Comprehensive Medical Services for the inmate population at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Chicago, Illinois. The successful contractor shall provide services which includes inpatient/outpatient hospital services, inpatient/outpatient physician services, and outpatient institution services. Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC) is an Administrative Facility which incarcerates various security levels of male and female inmates. The provision of services shall be accomplished within a twenty-five (25) mile radius of the MCC. The contract type is indefinite delivery requirements type contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract period shall consist of a 12 month base period, with four 12 month option periods for renewal. The estimated quantities are as follows: Base Year - 30 inpatient days and 60 outpatient visits; Option Year 1 - 30 inpatient days and 60 outpatient visits; Option Year 2 - 30 inpatient days and 60 outpatient visits; Option Year 3 - 30 inpatient days and 60 outpatient visits; Option Year 4 - 30 inpatient days and 60 outpatient visits. The solicitation will be available on or about October 7, 2003 and will be distributed solely through the General Service Administration’s Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. All future information concerning the acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through the website. Interest parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of proposals is on or about November 28, 2003. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 622110. This solicitation is unrestricted. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered.
