Work to be performed will include new structural column splices and diaphragm, replacement of original ceiling and lighting systems, stair pressurization, and hazardous material control, including asbestos and lead-based paint. Construction will be completed while the building remains fully occupied and open to the public. New 3D/4D technology has been used to map out the sequence of operations throughout the building. This information will be made available to the contractors. The estimated cost is between $30,000,000 to $55,000,000. Estimated completion time is 3-1/2 years.
