- RI CHAPTER OF THE NATIONAL CONTRACT MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION INDUSTRY DAY 2005. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport, the U.S. Navy?s full spectrum RDT&E, engineering and fleet support center for submarines, autonomous underwater systems and undersea warfare weapons systems, provides notice that an Industry Day will be held in Newport, RI on May 10, 2005. This ninth biennial conference will be sponsored by the Rhode Island Chapter of the National Contract Management Association (NCMA) in cooperation with the Rhode Island Economic Development Corporation (RIEDC) and the Small Business Administration (SBA). The day-long event will include presentations by NUWC Division Newport (NUWCDIVNPT) senior managers designed to provide technical program information and disseminate upcoming NUWCDIVNPT competitive procurement requirements. This year?s conference also will feature a concurrent SEAPORT Enhanced (SP-e) ?Matchmaker? event at which SP-e prime contractors will host one-on-one meetings with potential or current subcontractors to discuss business opportunities. Industry Day 2005 will take place at the Hyatt Regency Newport. Conference registration, lodging, and travel information is available at www.ncmari.com. All attendees must register prior to the conference and space is limited, so plan to sign up as soon as possible. SP-e prime contractors may also reserve a table for the Matchmaker event on a first-requested basis at the web site.
