- Concerns having the ability to furnish the services and supplies described herein are requested to give written notification (including telephone number for a point of contact) to the procurement office above within 45 days from the date of this synopsis. The U.S. Geological Survey, CICT Team, Denver, CO has a requirement for the fabrication of a cart for transporting a Geosensor Electromagnetic Sensor. The Vendor must have experience in designing and building carts made of non-metallic parts, and have knowledge of mechanical and electrical structure and operating characteristics of the sensor for airborne operations. Cart must be stowable in a 16' x 8" cargo trailer and must be adaptable marine use by the electromagnetic sensor equipment. Based on the information available at this time, and in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253 (c)(1), implemented by FAR 5.30201, the Government considers the supplies and services specified as a sole source from Geosensors, Toronto, Ontario, Canada and proposes to negotiate a purchase order with this company on that basis. However, should additional sources be identified, they will be considered. Firms who feel that they can furnish the required supplies and services are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response to the announcement, and such other materials which correspond to the required items stated herein. This information will be evaluated and used to determine if competitive opportunities exist. Since no solicitation documents exists, request for such documents without accompanying information will be considered non-responsive to this request without further consideration. This notice may represent the Government's only official notice of this procurement. See note 22.
