Description
THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY In support of the Global War on Terrorism (GWOT) and Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF), Program Manager Robotic and Unmanned Sensors (PM RUS) is seeking sources and information for the continued operational support of the LYNX family of radars integrated on bo ard the I-GNAT Unmanned Air Vehicles (UAVs). The LYNX Radar Family is currently contractor operated and maintained by the Lynx prime contractor while deployed at Camp Anaconda, Iraq. This information will be used to develop a strategy for continued opera tion and support for current deployment, future deployments, and possible procurement of additional SAR/GMTI systems, support equipment for the systems, training, associated spares, pre and post deployment technical support, and radar upgrades as required. REQUIREMENTS: 1. Provide a minimum of 1 team (2 operators and 1 maintainer) for the LYNX family of radars deployed in support of GWOT and OIF. This will consist of operation of the LYNX radar during the I-GNAT UAV missions. Maintenance of the LYNX family of radars wi ll consist of performing periodic/scheduled maintenance of the system, perform troubleshooting and repair of the system, installation and de-installation of the system on the I-GNAT. Current location of performance is at Camp Anaconda, Iraq. This support is required for up to 36 months. Additional teams may be required for additional deployment sites. 2. Procurement of additional SAR/GMTI systems and associated CLAW software. The SAR/GMTI systems must be in production. They are required to meet the following requirements: a. Provide up to a 30 Km Slant Range for both SAR and GMTI modes. b. Provide 0.1 to 10m SAR Resolution c. SAR Spot and Strip modes d. Provide a real time Coherent Change Detection Capability for IED detection e. Operate with the I-GNAT UAV Ground Control Station and CLAW Software f. Provide GMTI for ground vehicle speeds of 4 to 120 Kph g. Currently integrated into the I-GNAT UAV system h. Weigh less than 115 pounds 3. Provide initial spare parts for maintenance at all newly deployed sites. 4. Provide support equipment and spares necessary to conduct maintenance of the LYNX family of radar systems. 5. Provide New Equipment Training program to train military operators and maintainers on the LYNX family of radars; including all associated hardware and software required to operate LYNX family of radars and provide field and sustainment level of mainten ance instruction. 6. Provide Pre and Post Deployment technical support. 7. Provide necessary support for integration and test with additional UAVs that may be deployed, upgrades to hardware and software to the LYNX family of radars as required and refurbishment/rework of the systems upon return to CONUS. Interested vendors are encouraged to submit responses that describe their capability to meet the above requirements. The Government will not be providing any Government Furnished Equipment or information for this potential effort. All technical informati on regarding the Lynx family of radars is proprietary to the developer of the system.
