Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Great Lakes Region has a requirement to provide armed security guard services at the Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC), 1850 Sigsbee Street, Indianapolis, Indiana. Services are to commence October 1, 2005 for an initial period of one (1) year. There are four (4) one-year option periods. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment (other than Government furnished equipment), uniforms, transportation and supervision to provide armed security guard services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and all holidays. Company must be licensed in the State of Indiana, prior to award, have at a minimum five (5) years experience in armed security guard services, have an active business address and phone number for a minimum of one (1) year prior to award and be within a one hundred (100) mile radius of Indianapolis, Indiana. This office must be maintained during the entire life of the contract. The estimated procurement value for the subject project is between $750,000 and $1,000,000 per year. THIS ACQUISITION IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR 8(a) BUSINESSES AND/OR SERVICE DISABLED VETERAN OWNED BUSINESSES. NAICS Code is 561612. Interested firms that meet the above referenced qualifications should fill out and return the pre-qualification Screening Information Request (SIR) Application DTFAGL-05-R-00021. See Attached letter. ALL APPLICATIONS ARE DUE BY CLOSE OF BUSINESS APRIL 28, 2005. Upon completion of evaluation process, only those firms determined to be qualified will be sent a Request for Offer (RFO). The RFO is anticipated to be available by June 28, 2005. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
