- Description
- The Food and Drug Administration intends to award a non-competitive, sole source purchase order to Allentown Caging Equipment Co. Allentown, NJ 08501. FDA will purchase four (4) 140 Cage Microvent Units, four (4) supply Blowers, four (4) Exhaust Blowers, seven hundred (700) Cage Card Holders, fifteen (15) cases of Changeout Cages, and six (6) 10 Cage Guinea Pig Units. This equipment will be added to existing equipment manufactured by the contractor and will increase the holding capacity at the animal facilities at FDA. Purchasing similar types of equipment will pose several problems for the consistency, efficiency, economy and operation of the animal facility. This equipment also maximize storage options, uniformity of the cage types and reduce the risk of animal caging being interchanged between the various types of automatic watering apparatus. This is not a formal request for quotes. However, evaluation of other offers and any award decision will be made on a best value basis. The FDA intends to make an award immediately after the response date of this notice. The sole source procurement is being awarded as a simplified acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 13
