Description
The Government intends to negotiate a Hubzone set-aside sole source contract with Aerial Machine & Tool Corp. to procure a Maximum of 5,000 CMU-33A/P22P-18 (V) Type I AIRSAVE Survival Vest retrofit hoisting harness assemblies (Part Number 3561AS303-2, NSN 8415-01-522-6532). The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Patuxent River has a requirement to procure a Maximum of 5,000 CMU-33A/P22P-18 (V) Type I AIRSAVE Survival Vest retrofit hoisting harness assemblies. This is a notice of intent to request a proposal and negotiate with Aerial Machine & Tool Corp, 4298 Jeb Stuart Hwy, Vesta, VA 24177-0222 on an other than full and open competitive basis as they are the only vendor qualified to the Navy?s Military Performance Specification MIL-DTL-29611, Vest, Survival, Air crewman?s (AIRSAVE). The design incorporates frontal hoisting capabilities, incorporation of a split V design saddle and new generation hardware that is corrosion free while offering a larger sizing capability. The proposed action will be a Firm Fixed Price Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Requirements will be ordered and funded under individual delivery orders. The estimated ordering period for the contract will end 30 June 2008. Contract award is anticipated to be 2 months after synopsis date. SEE NOTE 22.
