Description

The Bureau of Reclamation, Hoover Dam, Boulder City, Nevada, is seeking sources for machine shops that can work on their generator thrust unit bearings. This requires a machine shop that can maintain tolerances of .0005 parallelism, perpendicularity and concentricity over an 86" diameter on parts weighing several thousand pounds and can produce a finish of 12 microns or better on a flat surface 86" in diameter. Interested parties should submit a response to this announcement. Responses should clearly state the name, address, telephone and fax numbers and e-mail address of their company. The response should be in the form of a resume that shows their experience that would demonstrate their capability to accomplish the above stated requirements. They should include a list of similar past projects with references, names and phone numbers.
