- Description
- The U. S. Army Tank-automotive and Armament Command, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, has a requirement for the automatic and emergency delivery of propane gas, to maintain/repair propane fuel distribution equipment and to maintain/repair propane cooking and heating appliances, including the replacement of parts, at various locations at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. The contracting officer is contemplating issuing a blanket purchase agreement on a sole-source basis to Synergy Gas Company, 3129 Route 46 Parsippany, NJ 07054, under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302- 1, because Synergy has equipment currently installed at various locations on the installation and award to any other source would result in costly removal and installation of new equipment and an unacceptable interruption of service. The period of performance is planned to be three years, which may include one or more options. Individual BPA calls will not exceed the simplified acquisition threshold. The aggregate of all potential calls is estimated not to exceed $180,000. The quantity of propane to be delivered is expected to decrease over the three-year period. Award is anticipated in April, 2005. See Note 22.
