- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of Trash Removal Services for the Federal Correctional Institution and Federal Prison Camp, located at 3301 Leestown Road, Lexington, Kentucky.The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period are as follows:Location A - Food Service. One contractor supplied stationary 30 yard compactor to be emptied three times weekly, as specified by the Government; Location B - UNICOR. One contractor supplied stationary self contained guillotine style compactor, with a 42 yard closed container to be emptied twice weekly, as specified by the Government; Location C - Staff Housing Area. One contractor supplied 8 yard closed container to be removed, emptied and replaced once per week, as specified by the Government;Location D - Facilities Construction. Two contractor supplied thirty yard open top containers, to be removed,emptied and replaced twice per week,as specified by the Government; Location E - Atwood Prison Camp. One contractor supplied 30 yard self contained compactor to be emptied twice weekly, as specified by the Government;Location F - Garage. One contractor supplied 30 yard open top container, to be emptied once per week, as specified by the Government. The contract shall consist of a base year with (4) four (12) twelve month option periods for renewal. The solicitation will be made available on or about May 6, 2005 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions.All future information regarding this acquisition,including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is June 6, 2005. Anticipated date of award is August 3, 2005. This will be a full and open competitive procurement. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
