- Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award sole source Contract N00024-05-R-4311 to Northrop Grumman, Electronic Systems (NGES) of 65 Marcus Drive, Melville, NY 11747 to provide for the production of five (5) AN/SYS-2(V) Integrated Automatic Detection and Tracking (IADT) Systems with a FY06 Option for a quantity of nine (9). All of the five IADT systems, including the Option, will be a (V) 13 configuration. Furthermore, this procurement of AN/SYS-2(V) 13 IADT Systems from NGES is for FFG-7 MOD 6 ships. The contractor shall procure material, fabricate, assemble, inspect, test and deliver the IADT Systems. The contract will be a firm fixed-price (FFP) type contract. NGES is the original designer, developer, and the sole producer of the AN/SYS-2(V) IADT System. As such, NGNS is the only known firm possessing the requisite technical expertise and background to perform and provide all necessary services, facilities, resources, management, and engineering req! uired to produce and deliver the hardware and necessary reports being procured under this contract in a cost effective manner while minimizing the impact on the AN/SYS-2(V) deliveries to the Navy. The contract will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This synopsis is for informational purposes only and the benefit of potential subcontractors.
