Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is Q8294050021 and is issued as a Request for Quotations (RFQ). This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-02 dated 03/23/2005. This acquisition is conducted under a Small Business Set-aside. The North American Standard Industrial Classification System code is 327320 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The requirement is for 360 cubic yards of Redi-Mix concrete delivered to Kipahulu District of Haleakala National Park, island of Maui. Delivery required between April 25, 2005 and May 25, 2005. Price shall include all labor, material, equipment and supervision necessary to deliver the prepared Redi-Mix to the site. Contractor shall meet all Federal, State and local transportation, handling and associated safety regulations. Truck slips will be required with billings. Each truck slip must show as a minimum: 1) yardage of concrete; 2) time truck leaves the plant and 3) time truck returns to plant. Contractor shall provide a unit price per cubic yard (360 cu. yd.) for Redi-Mix at the plant and an hourly rate for truck to deliver to Kipahulu and return to plant (estimated 520 hours total). Bid may be submitted on company letterhead stationary and should reference the solicitation number. The Government will evaluate the quotations based on overall price and demonstrated ability to meet delivery schedule, each being equal in importance. Quoters shall provide with their quotation, a minimum of three references to document ability to meet delivery schedules on projects of similar scope. The following FAR provisions and clauses are applicable to this solicitation: Provisions at 52.212-1 (Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items); 52.212-3 (Offeror Representations and Certifications--Commercial Items; Clauses at 52.212-4 (Contract Terms and Conditions--Commercial Items); and 52.212-5 (Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items) which includes clauses 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 552.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-1, 52-225-13 and 52.232-34.
