- Description
- A solicitation is to be issued for wireless communications services, i.e., cellular telephone services , equipment, associated support /software, and associated accessories; Blackberry data services, equipment, associated support /software, and ass ociated accessories; cellular wireless internet and data services, equipment, associated support /software, and associated accessories; paging services, equipment, associated support /software, and associated accessories, for the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Engineering Research and Development Center (ERDC), the United States Army Corps of Engineers Vicksburg District (MVK), and the United States Army Corps of Engineers Mississippi Valley Division (MVD). Primary locations of ERDC are Vi cksburg, MS; Hanover, NH; Champaign, IL; and Alexandria, VA. Primary locations for MVK are Vicksburg, MS with small to medium size offices located throughout MS, LA, and AR. Contracts awarded under this scope will also make available overseas wireless se rvices when and where available. Contracts awarded from the solicitation will be one-year contracts with four one-year options. The solicitation will be used to make multiple awards and prospective contractors are encouraged to submit proposals based on their areas of expertise for any or all services they can provide. Contractors may offer all or some of the services. Service will include an unlimited number of government owned and loaner cellular phones and other cellular devices. Contractors must s pecify areas of coverage including local calling areas, in-state roaming areas, nationwide, etc. Detailed maps should be provided with nationwide and statewide areas (MS, LA, AR, NH, IL, DC area) clearly illustrated. In lieu of providing detailed maps, t he Contractor may reference website addresses where maps may be found. Contractors must be capable of providing nationwide toll free and roaming free service (for any type of services submitted in proposals) in addition to any statewide, local, or regiona l plans that are available. Contractors must also be capable of providing local service in at least one of the locations listed above. It will be the responsibility of each vendor to register in the Central Contractor Registration Database (CCR) to obtai n a copy of the solicitation and/or any amendment(s) that may be issued from the Vicksburg Consolidated Contracting Office (VCCO) Web Site at http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/offices/contract/main.htm. Issue date is on or about 20 April 2005.
