- Description
- Sole Source. The United States Army Contracting Agency Southern Region, Yuma Directorate, Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, intends to negotiate a firm-fixed price contract on a sole source basis with Mallory Engineering Inc., 2779 West Direct ors Row, Salt Lake City, UT, 84014-4514. This contract will be for the purchase/installation of a Temperature Control Unit (TCU) and modification of four climatic test chambers. YPG currently has three TCU units fabricated from Mallory and a additional TCU is needed to maintain continuity with the rough handling test cells and vibration test facilities. Mallory fabricated or rebuilt the control system in all four chambers and they are the only ones that have the programmable logic control software and code for the repairs of the existing chambers. Award of this requirement will be in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the r equirements or submit proposals. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. If you feel that your firm possesses the ability to provide these services, then you must respond by 14 April 2005, 3:00 PM MST. Email your response demonstr ating your firms experience and capability of providing this requirement to Edgar Angulo at Edgar.Angulo@yuma.army.mil In order to protect proprietary information and prevent the unintentional releasing of guarded information all interested firms must co nduct their own research regarding the specifications of the above listed item. See Note 22 with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 9 days instead of 45 days.
