Description

Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for the installation of grease interceptors for the Dietetics & Canteen Services. Work to includes: General Construction, Field Survey & Layout Work, including alterations, cutting and patching of roads, sidewalks, grading, drainage piping with all necessary appurtenances, mechanical and modification of existing structures. This includes: addition, demolition & installation of new exterior grease traps & piping, new concrete screen wall, new concrete paving, & required excavation and backfill pursuant to all local, state, & federal regulations as specified in the SOL. A Bid Guarantee is required. Bids shall be rejected if they do not include a Bid Guarantee by BOD. A one-time Pre-Bid conference will be held on 05/03/2005 at 1:30 PM (EST), VAMC, 1670 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA, Room GC 125, Ground Floor. All potential bidders are strongly encouraged to attend. EST construction cost: Between $100,000 & $250,000. BOD: 05/17/2005 at 2:00 PM (EST). EST SOL issue dtd for download (excluding drawings) o/a 04/13/2005 at the Business Opportunities Website www.bos.oamm.va.gov. To obtain drawings, Bidders shall submit their request in writing including a deposit of $75.00 for the drawings in the form of a company or cashier's check or money order made payable to: "VA Medical Center/508" to: Contracting Officer (90C), 1670 Clairmont Rd, Decatur, GA 30033. NO PERSONAL CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Deposits are refundable upon returning ALL bid drawings within 20 days of BOD. Only fifteen (15) solicitation sets are available for issue. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Amendments issued to this solicitation will be posted on the website. Bidders are responsible for obtaining the bid documents (exluding drawings) & amendments at the website. A paper solicitation will not be issued. THIS PROCUREMENT IS 100% SET-ASIDE FOR SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. Bids from other than service-disable veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered & shall be rejected. To be considered for an award, Bidders are required to be registered with Central Contractor Registration (www.ccr.gov) to ensure your registration has not expired. NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. SBA size standard: $28.5 million. This procurement is subject to the availability of funds. Electronic Bids are not acceptable. Government-wide Numbered Note 29 applies.
