- PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall remove existing bridge 41-02.10 and construct new bridge on existing abutments after Contractor modifications. New bridge shall be constructed of steel stringers with concrete deck, and will be 14 feet wide, 90 feet long, and 25 feet in air. New construction work includes placement of 100 tons of crushed aggregate, 42 cubic yards of structural concrete, 11,100 pounds of reinforcing steel, 47,000 pounds of structural steel (furnished, fabricated and erected), and construction of Bridge Railing and Approach Railing. Steel ordering time is 60-90 days and on site construction time is 120 days from effective date of Notice to Proceed. Completion date is expected to be December 31, 2005. ESTIMATED PRICE RANGE: Between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 PROJECT LOCATION: Nolichucky/Unaka Ranger District, Greene County, TN. Take Route 107 south from State Route 70 between Greeneville and the North Carolina state line. Turn left onto Rollins Chapel Road and travel ? mile; turn right on Paint Creek Road and travel 1 mile; turn right at Paint Creek Campground and proceed down Paint Creek. Project is 2.10 miles from intersection at campground. SPECIAL NOTES: Vehicle access to bridge not available until September 1, 2005. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS: This solicitation, SAZ IFB 04-05-17, and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps as an Invitation for Bid and will be available for downloading on or about April 19, 2005 at the website address: http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. A pre-bid visit has been scheduled for April 28, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. at the Nolichucky Ranger District Office, 4900 Asheville Hwy, SR 70, Greeneville, TN 37743. All potential contractors and subcontractors should register on the FedBizOpps website as an Interested Vendor. The Interested Vendor?s list will be the only Bidders? List maintained for this procurement. All vendors are required to be registered in CCR (Central Contractor Registration database) prior to award of a Federal contract. Registration may be completed on the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov/. Vendors must also be registered in ORCA (Online Representations and Certifications) prior to contract award, and may accomplish this on the Internet at http://www.bpn.gov. You must be registered in CCR and have an MPIN number before you can begin ORCA registration.
