Description
The Bureau of the Public Debt on behalf of the Armed Forces Retirement Home, intends to issue a solicitation for off campus transportation services for the residents at the Armed Forces Retirement Home. This acquisition is a HUBZone set aside, the NAICS code is 485991 and the size standard is $6.0 million. This requirement will result in a contract with a base and four one year option periods. The Contractor shall provide safe and dependable transportation services for AFRH residents to a variety of off campus locations. Bus driver employees shall be licensed for operation of vehicles within State of Residence. The Contractor employees shall also have a Commercial Driver?s License (CDL), (B License) with ?P? (Passenger and Air Brake endorsement). All CDL drivers shall have physical examinations in order to maintain their CDL license. The Contractor shall register all Contractor vehicles to be used in the performance of this Contract pursuant to the respective site requirement. The Contractor shall provide drivers, shuttle busses, and recreational busses with handicap accessibility and features within. Government furnished equipment will include one Flexible Floor Plan Bus ? 21 Ambulatory to 7 Wheelchair Capacity by International. Services shall be performed to transport residents to necessary venues and to maintain customer satisfaction. Residents of the AFRH are dependent on shuttle bus services for medical appointments and off-campus recreational events. The Contractor is responsible for the safe transport, welfare and conduct of residents. Contractor personnel, when requested, shall physically assist handicapped residents on and off the bus at all pick-up points and shall fasten applicable strapping devices.
