- The Government intends to procure the following service: Portsmouth Naval Shipyard will have three (3) cranes insulated. Cranes are number 34, 35, and 36 and located inside the CIA area and contractors shall need security clearances. Cranes shall be insulated at three separate times between May 2005 and September 2005. Statement of work: Vendor to apply polyurethane foam insulation to the inside of the exterior walls of the machine house and inside of the control module ceiling (not to include the power module/engine compartment). Total application is to be approximately 1000 sq/ft of interior wall and ceiling areas with a nominal thickness of 3? and a fire retardant spray with topcoat on exposed surfaces. Spray on topcoat is to be Muralo? or comparable white spray on fire retardant paint. Shipyard POC for site visit/access to cranes Bob Jacobs @207-438-1556. Quote as a delivered price to the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Kittery ME. The proposed requirement will be award! ed under a Firm Fixed Price contract. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. Quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will Not be issued. This announcement is issue as N00102-05-Q-0865 The standard NACIS classification (238310) and incorporates provisions and clauses effective through Federal Acquisition circular 2001-26 / 2001-27. This acquisition is reserved for Small Business. Place of service is Portsmouth Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth NH. Conditions--Commercial items; Clause 52.212-4 applies.
