- This is a draft pre-solicitation notice for Contract Armed Security Guard Services. This notice is issued in advance for informational purposes. The government intends to issue a solicitation on or about 15 April 05. The contractor is responsible for providing armed security guards for Installation Entry Control, Visitor Control, Vehicle Inspection, and Vehicle patrol to support the protection of people and property within the Endsley Engineer Yard, Memphis, TN; responsible for overall security, la w enforcement, and anti-terrorism/force protection services. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this solicitation is 561612, Security Guards and Patrol Services. The small business size standard is $10.5 million. The acquisi tion is contingent upon the availability of funds in accordance with FAR 52.232-18. Although full funding is not currently available for this project, this pre-solicitation notice is issued in good faith and funding for the basic year is anticipated. No l egal liability on the part of the Government for any payment may arise until funds are made available to the Contracting Officer for this contract and until the Contractor receives notice of such availability. This acquisition will be solicited as a Reque st for Proposal, Source Selection to be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 15. A firm-fixed price type contract will result from this solicitation.The anticipated performance period will be a 12-month base year with four 12-month option periods. Estimat ed Request for Proposal Issue Date: 10 Apr 05. Estimated Proposal Closing Date: 25 Apr 05. The directions for proposal submission will be included in Section L, Instructions, Conditions and Notices to offerors, of the solicitation. Dates listed are ap proximate and included for reference only. Actual dates will be specified in the final solicitation. This will be an electronic solicitation release. No hard copies will be mailed.
