- Description
- REPAIR FOR LIQUID FUELS MAINTENANCE FACILITY, T-1631. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Provide all management, labor, tools, equipment, transportation and materials necessary to perform repairs to building T-1631 at Lajes Field, Azores. Repairs will include electrical demolition and rewiring, installation of a building exhaust fan and ducting, interior and exterior painting, upgrading the lights, installing a manually operated I-beam hoist configured to hold between 1000 to 1500 lbs, and replacing the wood roof/truss system with a metal/truss system, to match the base standards. The proposals will be solicited on a firm-fixed price lump sum basis. North American Industry Classification System assigned to this acquisition is 236220. This procurement is RESTRICTED to Mainland Portugal and its territories in accordance with the Bilateral Agreement between Portugal and the United States dated 1995. All responsible sources meeting the criteria set forth in the Request for Proposal (RFP) may submit an offer, which will be considered by the Government. The RFP package will be available for downloading and viewing at Electronic Posting System (EPS) at http://www.eps.gov on or about 7 Mar 05. A site visit will be held at Lajes Field at a date to be determined. The RFP package will be available on the Internet only. There will be no hard copies of this solicitation issued. The solicitation, plans, specifications, or drawings will not be provided in a printed paper format; however, the Government reserves the right to revert to paper medium when it is determined to be in the Government?s best interest. All proposals and other normal documents required for the proposal submittal, including amendments to the proposal submittal, shall be in paper medium. All contractors interested in receiving notification of updates/amendments to the solicitation posed on the EPS are urged to enroll on the web site mailing list for this acquisition. Those contractors enrolled will be notified automatically of any changes made to the RFP through their e-mail addresses. No telephone requests will be accepted. All interested parties are required to be registered in CCR (Central Contractor Registration) www.ccr.gov, prior to award.
