- ***The notice is modified to inform potential offerors that the solicitation will not be performance based.*** The Forest Services requires locating, mapping, and treating noxious weeds on/or adjacent to the Dubois Ranger District. Services will also include the maintenance of the Continental Divide Cooperative Weed Management Area (CWMA) database. Activities include searching for, mapping, and appropriately treating weeds in areas that are inaccessible by motorized vehicles. Weed locations will be saved on the District GIS weed layer, and infestations will be treated chemically by means of pack spray unit on a horse or mule, or by a backpack sprayer. Potential offerors must currently possess a Pesticide Applicator?s license to comply with Idaho Department of Agriculture regulations and Forest Service policy. The project will be advertised as a Commercial Item Option Year quotation, and will be solicited under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The approximate start work date is May 31, 2005. The solicitation will be available on approximately April 12, 2005, and can be downloaded from this site at that time. All responsible sources may submit an offer that will be considered.
