- In accordance with the procedures specified in the revised OMB Circular A-76, dated May 29, 2003, this notification represents the formal public announcement and official start date of a zonal streamlined competition of the Administrative Support Function performed at the General Services Administration (GSA) in Region 2 (Northeast and Caribbean Region)and in Region 1 (New England Region). Note: one study is being performed covering the geographic areas of both Regions. The effective start date of the streamlined zonal cost competition study is March 31, 2005. Government personnel consisting of 14 FTEs and approximately 20-25 contract workers represent the incumbent service provider located in the Northeast and Caribbean Region (all New York City, NY). Government personnel consisting of 11 FTEs and 6-10 contract workers represent the incumbent service provider located in the New England Region (FTEs are as located as follows: 8 in Boston, MA; 1 in Hartford, CT; 1 in Providence, RI and 1 in Chicago, IL). The estimated work years will consist of a base year and four option years. Prospective offerors are advised that a solicitation will not be issued if the cost of contract performance is determined to be greater than the cost of in-house performance by Government personnel. The projected end date of this competition is August 12, 2005. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION. NO SOLICITATION SHOULD BE ANTICIPATED, AND PROPOSALS ARE THEREFORE NOT REQUESTED.
