Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCADLKE), Lakehurst, NJ intends to place a sole-source contract with North Atlantic Instruments Inc., Bohemia, NY, for a qty of four (4) Programmable Resolver/ Synchro Standards, model 5300-S3412A. These four Programmable Resolver/Synchro Standards are required by the Navy to extend the life cycle of the calibration standard, currently being supported. The Programmable Resolver/Synchro Standards, model 5300-S3412A simulates dynamic servo characteristics like ship roll and radar antenna scan and is used to calibrate Synchro Panel Meters and Digital Angle Indicators, which are utilized in the Consolidated Automatic Support System (CASS). North Atlantic Instruments is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) of this equipment. This equipment is peculiar in nature and North Atlantic Instruments holds all data rights. The Government does not own specifications or drawings for the above listed item. NAWCADLKE intends to procure the Programmable Resolver/Synchro Standards, model 5300-S3412A under the authority of 10 USC 2304 (c) (1), as implemented in FAR 6.302-1. No solicitation package is available for this procurement. All responsible sources are encouraged to submit proposals, which may or may not be used by the Government in determining whether or not to open this requirement to competition. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based on the responses received to this notice is solely within the discrestion of the Government. Numberd Note 22
