- The Department of the Interior, Minerals Management Service intends to make a fixed price sole source award to the Deepwater Technology Group, Granhern-KBR, Inc., in accordance with FAR 6-302-1(a)(2)(i)(A). This non-competitive action is being issued by MMS for participation in the Joint Industry Project (JIP), "New Touch Down Zone (TDZ) Solutions for Steel Catenary Risers (SCRs) Phase I, State IV." The cost MMS' participation for this effort is $50,000. The duration of this project is 10 months. The objective is to develop project readiness for and validate design of the four SCR TDZ solutions established in Stages I-III though of this JIP through development of design and qualification procedures and testing. The intent of this synopsis is for informational purposes only. This is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, all information received within fifteen (15) days of this notice will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this action based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
