- Description
- The U.S. Army_ARDEC has a requirement for the procurement of Igniters for the 155mm M231 Modular Artillery Charge System (MACS), restricted to U.S./Canada sources. The requirement shall include purchasing or manufacturing all component for the M231 cloth igniter bag, including the Black Powder (spheroidal propellant shall be provided as GFM). The requirement shall also include the load, assemble and pack (LAP) of the igniter bags. Storage capacity to safely store 150,000 lbs of propellant will be necessary. The igniter requirements are approximately 14,500 in FY 05. The Technical Data Package (TDP) is limited to Distribution Statement F. Also, potential offerors are required to request, sign and return a Confidential Non-Disclosure Statement and Non-Use Agreement prior to the receipt of the TDP. If interested, send requests to the attention of Michael J. Gomez, mgomez@pica.army.mil. The Solicitation will be available via FedBizOpps, however the TDP and Section J Attachments will only be mailed to those who request, sign and return the Confidential Non-Disclosure Statement and Non-Use Agreement. Solicitation will be issued on or about April 15, 2005. Proposals will be due aproximately 15 days after the solicitation issue date.
