- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference Number F2Y3C25039A100 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC)2005-01, Defense DCN 2005-0222. This solicitation is set-aside for small business. The associated Standard Industrial Classification Code (SIC) is 3577 for CLIN 1 and 2759 for CLIN 2. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for both are 334119. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 Employees. CLIN 0001 ? Varitronics Profinish XL-42? Cold Laminator with Stand (VAR 20007-00) OR EQUAL; Quantity: 1 Each (laminator and stand combination) Salient Characteristics (to be considered an Equal): -Must be cold process -Must be standard 110v (no special power requirements) -Must not have any compressed air requirements -Must be able to laminate a minimum width of 42 inches and accept laminate rolls of up to 300 feet in length -Must be able to laminate both sides of material in one pass -Must be easily transportable and maneuverable (Not to exceed 225 lbs to include both laminator and stand) -Must have wheels on stand -Must have foot pedal control for laminating (Quotes offering a product other than the specified Brand Name must provide confirming data for each of the salient characteristics as well as manufacturer?s data supporting that all salient characteristics are met by the ?Or Equal? item being offered.) CLIN 0002 ? Laminate ? (VAR 20009) For use in product offered for CLIN 0001, to be minimum 42?, direct thermal paper compatible, clear, minimum 300 foot length.
