- This serves as ?Notice of Intent?. The White House Communications Agency (WHCA) intends to issue a Sole Source Purchase Order under Simplified Acquisition Procedures to SkyTel Corp. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. SkyTel will be responsible for providing and installing all equipment, material, and labor to upgrade current paging reception at two undisclosed sites. SkyTel Corp. provides current paging system equipment and service to WHCA and is the only company capable of providing the Motorola Low Power Transmitter (Part Number PT1250A) and Motorola Base Receiver (Part Number T5535A). Products are no longer manufactured or maintained by Motorola. Comments and/or questions shall be submitted electronically to the Contracting Officer.
