Description

FACSIMILE DRILL RIFLE, NSN: 1005-01-519-4121. This is a market survey announcement for informational planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposals or Invitation for Bids nor is it to be construed as a commitment by the Gove rnment. Information submitted does not constitute a proposal, but will be considered an exchange of capabilities and ideas. Any proprietary information should be properly identified. The Government will not reimburse contractors for any costs incurred in responding to this announcement, or in subsequent exchanges of information. TACOM-Rock Island is conducting a market survey to identify sources capable of supplying a Facsimile (Dummy) Drill Rifle. The Facsimile or Dummy Drill Rifle will replace current ly used M1 Garand and Springfield M1903 Rifles for use by the Army Reserve Officers Training Corps (ROTC). Prospective suppliers may be required to conduct a production demonstrat ion at the Cadet Command, if necessary. Product samples may be required to be submitted at or prior to the time specified for receipt of offers. Unless otherwise specified in the solicitation, these samples shall be submitted at no expense to the Governm ent, and will be returned at the sender's request and expense, unless they are destroyed during preaward testing.
