- Description
- The Social Security Administration (SSA) requires the services of contractors to provide medical consultant services in the specialties of psychiatry, psychology, child psychiatrist and child psychologist. The services will be performed at the Social Security Admistration office located at 99 High Street, Boston, MA. This acquisition will be for commercial services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 12 and will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. These services will involve the review of medical evidence in disability claims and consulting with SSA medical policy staff. No patient contact will be involved. The contractor must have necessary computer skills to view and input electronic case information. Some travel may be required. Contractor will be required to pass a security background check before beginning performance under the contract. Contractor shall be registered in the Central Contractor Registration database prior to award of a contract. Offerors must have: (1) a valid license to practice medicine in the United States; and (2) be available for onsite services 10 hours per week within the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The period of performance will be June 1, 2005 or date of award, whichever is later, through March 31, 2006 with provisions for four one-year options. The solicitation is scheduled for release on or about April 4, 2005. This requirement is a 100% small business set aside. The NAICS code for Psychiatry is 621112 and the size standard is $8.5M. The NAICS code for Psychology is 621330 and the size standard is $6.0M. Offers received from other than small business concerns will be deemed unacceptable and will be given no further consideration. The solicitation (and any amendments) will be available for downloading on the Fed Biz Ops(FBO) web page at www.eps.gov on or about the solicitation release date. All parties interested in submitting an offer should download the solicitation from the FBO web site. No telephone requests for the RFQ will be honored.
