- Requirement is to provide coach type bus with capacity for 44 or more passengers with 48 hours turnaround time, responsible for cancellation after 72 hours. Estimated 250 trips per year to the following destinations: From Port Hueneme to Twentynine Palms, Fort Hunter Liggett, and Riverside (March Air Force Base) and back. Buses are to be equipped with air-conditioning, bathroom, video and microphone capability. The buses must not be older 1996. Bus driver must be qualified and hold current California state license and endorsement. The Government reserves the right to inspect licenses at any time during the term of the contract. Driver to remain with the bus at all times. The Government will provide the required dates for pick-up and drop-off locations at the time of order. No PUC tax shall be charged. The duration of services is typically for one-day, however, it may extend beyond a one-day period. The number of buses required at any one time may be from one to ten coach type buses. The contractor who provides this service must be DOD approved and must remain approved for the duration of this contract. The Approved List is located at www.sddc.army.mil; if you click on passenger in the upper right hand corner, then bus carrier along the left hand side, you will find both the Approved Carrier List and the Military Bus Agreement, which all carriers must sign. The Military Surface Deployment & Distribution Command has contract inspectors who inspect Contractor facilities and equipment, and they also monitor for current insurance and drug and alcohol testing to the drivers. The resulting contract will be a fixed price, requirements type with delivery order provisions. The estimated quantities will be specified in the solicitation. FOB destination. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be available by 8 April 2005 on the NECO web link www.neco.gov. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to indepently review the reference web link frequently for lupdates to any and all documents. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). No paper copies of these documents will be issued. The solicitation is restricted to small business under Standard Industrial Code 4242 with a small business size standard size of $6 million. NAICS Code is 485510. Se! e Number Note 1.
