- Supervisor of Shipbuilding, C&R, USN intends to award a firm-fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 13.302 to Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, Inc., 1000 Access Road, Pascagoula, MS 39567 for the following item(s): Item 0001: 6" Gate Valve/Actuator Assembly, Mfr: Morpac, Mfr P/N: 10018-2, NSN: 4810-01-448-3989, Qty: 1 Each. Only one responsible source and no other supplies/services will satisfy agency requirements under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The proposed acquisition is being processed utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures on an other than full and open competitive basis. It is anticipated that award will take place on or before 11 May 2005. Note 22: The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of! intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within forty-five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
