- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities(FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line(NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport, has a requirement for 80 Yardney LR140 batteries or equivalent and 80 electrolyte fill kits. This is a ?brand name or equal requirement,? meaning that quotes may be submitted for either the brand name, Yardney Technical Products, Inc, as specified herein or items manufactured by other company (ies) that meet all of the salient physical, functional and performance characteristics of the brand name and model specified herein. Brand name or equal descriptions are intended to be descriptive, but not restrictive and are intended to indicate the salient characteristics of products that will be considered satisfactory to meet the RFQ requirements. Required delivery is 30 days after award. Delivery is F.O.B. Destination, Naval Station Newport, Newport, RI. This is 100% set-aside for small business. The anticipated release date of the RFP is about 29 March 2005. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form.
