- THIS ANNOUNCEMENT WILL BE USED AS A MARKET RESEARCH TOOL. THE GOVERNMENT MAY HAVE A NEED TO PURCHASE A BORESIGHT, OPTICAL, OVER THE NEXT THREE (3) YEARS, IN SUPPORT OF THE BRADLEY FIGHTING VEHICLE SYSTEM FOR AN ESTIMATED QUANTITY OF 600 EACH. NSN: 4933-00-867-6607, Part Number 7799773. The item to procure is an elbow type, 5-Power, containing a reticle and roof prism housing made of aluminum to produce an erect field of view, not less than 80-Angular Mils. Shaft is made from corrosion resistant st eel. The aluminum parts require an anodic film or black oxide finish and item is approximately 7.50 inches x 6.0 inches x 1.37 inches in size. FOB is DESTINATION. The purpose of this notice is to identify and establish initial interest an d points of contract from private industry. This information may be used to design acquisition strategy to include socioeconomic program support. It may also help to identify and establish commercial practices available to the Government. Any responses to this notice should include the following: company name, point of contact, address, telephone and fax numbers, e-mail address, brief description of company/capabilities, experience areas, history, duns number, cage code and/or tax ID number, as well as size category (large/small disadvantaged, etc). Also provide any supporting information such as commercial literature, catalogues, manuals, etc. No solicitation will be issued at this time. Participation in this effort is strictly voluntary with no cost or obligation to be incurred by the U.S. Government. The U.S. Government will in no way be obligated to purchase all or part of the items designated above and is providing this information as general information only. The U.S. Government will in no way be bound to this information if any solicitation is issued.
