Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ) under the number FA4452-05-Q-A152. This document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in affect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-14. In accordance with FAR Subpart 19.2, this acquisition has been exclusively set aside for participation by Hub-Zone certified business concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NACIS) code for this acquisition is 332999. Small business size standard is 500 employees. The AMC Contracting Flight plans to issue a purchase order under the test program described in FAR 13.5 for the contractor to accomplish the following: The contractor shall provide eight (8), four (4) place combination M4/M4A1 & M16A2 weapons rack (2 positions on the right side for the M4/M4A1 and 2 positions on the left side for the M16A2). Salient Characteristics as follows: Minimum envelope size for guard shack use not to exceed 26? wide X 42? high X 14.5? deep; heat treated aluminum alloy, outer frame with all critical to be MiG welded; all critical fasteners to be ?Torx? pin-in-head security screws; weapons to rest in non marring HDPE ployethelene at either end; weapon can be racked with rail accessory system and M68 or ACOG installed; weight of rack not to exceed 60 pounds; carrying handles each end; unit to be drilled for easy mounting to floor/wall or joining to other similar racks; adjustable cam lock to accommodate military padlock; DuPont or equivalent powder coated finish; drilled to accept optional casters for increased mobility; leveling feet included. Delivery is no later than 18 April 2005 as follows to the addresses shown below. Information shall be provided in a format that reflects the price per item and a total contract price. Total cost shall include all shipping and handling. Shipping addresses are shown below. The provision at 52.212-1, Instruction to Offerors ? Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Only one award will be made to the lowest price technically acceptable offeror who meets the requirement for all line items.
