- Contracting Office Address Department of Agriculture, Forest Service, R5, Sierra Cascade Province, 2550 Riverside Drive, Acquisition Management, Susanville, CA 96130 Description The Sierra Cascade Province, encompassing the Modoc, Plumas, and Lassen National Forests, is now advertising Province-wide Forest Engineering and Road Maintenance (FERM) projects. This is anticipated to be a multiple award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) unique arrangement, with a base year with four options. All Road Maintenance and Construction, and minor construction that is not accomplished by Government Road Crews will be accomplished under this method. Project work will include, but is not limited to: Road Maintenance work will consist of routine work necessary to maintain the National Forest Road System in a functioning condition providing safe public access, protecting the transportation facility investment and adjacent environmental resources. Roadside Brushing of vegetation. Road construction will be limited to two miles or less. This work will involve all construction activities normally associated with new road construction including bridges. Road reconstruction work will involve traveled way restoration (bituminous and aggregate and native surfaces), drainage and minor bridge (concrete or wood decking under 40 feet in length) restoration replacement and installation, cut and fill slope stabilization and road sign installation. Miscellaneous construction work is that which requires the use of similar manpower and equipment normally associated with standard road construction/reconstruction and maintenance activities. Estimated Annual ceiling of $750,000 per year, per contract area. Award of this project to be accomplished under Full and Open Competition, pursuant to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
