- The purpose of this Request for Proposals is to obtain thirty six qualified Type 2 IA (Initial Attack capable) hand crews for use in Wildland Fire Suppression and Fuels Management activities during Mandatory Availability Periods for a base year and two option years. Crews will be based in Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, Utah, Tennessee, and North Carolina, but will be available for dispatch throughout the United States. This will result in multiple Requirements Type contracts. The Contractors will be responsible for providing fully training and qualified firefighters who meet the requirements of the contract. We anticipate issuing the solicitation during the first or second week in April, 2005. This is a partial small business set-aside.
