Description
This is a modification to Pre-solicitation Notice SP0100-05-R-0067 posted on the Federal Business Opportunities Website March 18, 2005 for PIN, TENT, METAL, 12-INCH, NSN: 8340-00-823-7451 which shall be manufactured in accordance with specification no. MIL-P-501P dated 1 MAR 1991. This acquisition will be a total set aside for small businesses. Best Value Source Selection procedures will be utilized in making an award. Technical Proposals are required. The evaluation factors are as follows in descending order of importance: (1) Past Performance and (2) DLA Mentoring Business Agreement. First Article provisions will be included. See numbered notes 1, 9, 13 & 26. There will be a base year plus four 100% quantity option years. This will be an Indefinite Delivery Type Contract (IDTC) with a Minimum quantity of 65,000 ea and Maximum of 200,000 ea for the base year and subsequent option years. There will be 12 deliveries 180 days through 510 days after the date of award to Defense Distribution Depot Barstow, CA and Defense Distribution Depot New Cumberland, PA. Closing date of 02 MAY 2005 is estimated for this acquisition. All materials will be furnished by the awardee. All responsible sources may submit a response, which, if timely received, must be considered by the agency. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriations and authorization acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment? impose restrictions on the DoD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
