- Note 26 applies. RFP is for the purchase of four different sized, nonwoven, felt rolls as follows: NSN 8305-00-227-1246 (1/2?), 8305-00-290-5584 (3/16?), 8305-00-663-9838 (3/8?), and 8305-00-633-9836 (5/8?), 80% wool, Class 12R3, 72? width, mildew resistant, Type I in accordance with ASTM-D-2475 (formerly C-F-206G), standard specifications for felt, and ASTM-D-461, standard test methods for felt. The felt shall conform to the ASTM methods and shall be mildew resistant in accordance with MIL-F-2312. Quotes are to be based on FOB Destination Albany, GA. Production lead time is 90 days after date of award or sooner for delivery. Request for Proposal SP0100-05-R-0065 will only be available through the Procurement Gateway. Copies of this solicitation will be made available on he DLS Procurement Gateway at http://progate.daps.mil/home or http://12.3.216.20/home at time of solicitation issuance. From the Gateway homepage, select ?search RFPs? from the right hand sidebar. Then close the RFP you wish to download and view these documents. You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. Important Note on Foreign Content The Defense appropriation acts and other statutes (including what is commonly referred to as ?The Berry Amendment?) impose restrictions on the DOD?s acquisition of foreign products and services. Generally, Clothing and Textile items (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7012) and ?specialty metals? (as defined in DFARS clause 252.225-7014) must be grown, reprocessed, reused, melted or produced in the United States, its possessions or Puerto Rico, unless one of the DFARS 225.7002-2 exceptions applies.
