- Description
- The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified contractors for the dock alteration and maneuvering area repair at the P&DC located in Santa Ana, CA. The project includes removal and replacement of existing concrete paving, construction of six new bay loading docks, remodel of the welding shop, renovation of the covered dock at the rear. Phasing will be required. Work will not be allowed at the facility between November 15, 2005 and the first week of January 2006. The project is to be completed in 400 days after notice to proceed. Estimated range is $2,500,000-$3,000,000. This is an owned facility. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal for this contract will be 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. A pre-proposal conference will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. on March 30th at the site.
