- Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to modify sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-02-G-5106 with Raytheon Company of 528 Boston Post Road, Sudbury, MA 01176 to extend the ordering period for one year. The purpose of the BOA with Raytheon is to provide materials and services, as may be required by USN and FMS, for the evaluation, implementation, and proofing of equipment changes, related engineering services and repairs (including emergency repairs), modifications/alteration, overhauls, refurbishment, Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) and life-of-type procurement of parts and assemblies to support DMS case resolution, and maintenance associated with the AEGIS Fire Control System MK 99, Transmitter Groups for AN/SPY-1A/B/B(V)/D/D(V), and ancillary equipment. Orders may also be issued for studies, analyses, evaluation and testing, training, and preparation and/or update of documentation (drawings, manuals, and instructions). Additionally, dep! ot support may require installation and checkout spares (INCO), repair parts, accessories, tools, replenishment of spares and repair parts, and necessary packaging and marking. Raytheon Company, as the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), is the only qualified source to provide the AEGIS Fire Control System MK 99, Transmitter Groups for AN/SPY-1A/B/B(V)/D/D(V), and ancillary equipment and is the only source capable of performing the services in the required timeframe. Procurement of the aforementioned supplies on other than a sole source basis would prove to be uneconomical for the customer as there are insufficient quantities to offset the cost of qualifying another source. The modification will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). This synopsis is for informational purposes only and the benefit of potential subcontractors. The government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source identified herein.
