- Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, the U.S. Army, REDCOM, Natick Contracting Division, Kansas Street, Natick, MA on behalf of the United States Army Soldier System Center, Natick, MA intends to negotiate and award a purchase order on a sole source basis with Hexcel Schwebel, Anderson, SC 29622. For the following: 1) 500 linear yards of Kevlar KM2 style 705 85d with a CS898 Finish (scoured and water repel treated), 69 wide 10% variance acceptable, include extracted yarn strength in certificate of analysis. 2) Kevlar KM2 Style 706 600d with a CS898 Finish (scoured and water repel treated), 54 wide variance acceptable, include extracted yarn strength in certificate analysis. Hexcel Schwebel is the only available source as to request finish on these fabrics is a proprietary finish.
