Description
The Alaska District Corps of Engineers intends to solicit proposals for the procurement and installation of various telecommunications systems throughout the new Bassett Army Hospital at Fort Wainwright, which is currently under construction. The ne w hospital will be a 32-bed, multi-story facility, comprised of approximately 269,000 square feet. This notice is applicable to NAICS code 334290. Systems included are: Premises Distribution System, Nurse Call Tone-Visual (NCTV) System, Nurse Call Audio- Visual (NCAV) System, Radio Page System, RF Transponder System, Public Address System, Sound Reinforcement System, Television (TV) System, EMS Recorder System, and Honeywell Facility Security System. The facility construction project currently in progress will provide the site prep infrastructure necessary to accommodate the installation and operation of all Telecommunications Systems. This infrastructure includes empty cable trays, empty conduit with pull lines, empty outlet/device boxes and enclosures, equipment space, power, lighting, and HVAC. Vendor shall be either the system manufacturer or an authorized distributor and service organization for the manufacturer of the proposed system for a minimum of at least five years, and shall be knowledgeable o f systems application design and installation procedures for each system and certified for Category 5 and higher installations. The project will include elements of project management, design, procurement, installation, quality control, commissioning, doc umentation, training and warrantee support. All products provided under this contract as well as the systems solution shall be commercial items (see definition at FAR 2.101) readily available in the commercial market place.
