Description

TACOM plans to acquire the following in support of the M88A2 HERCULES Heavy Recovery Vehicle system: 53 each M88A2 vehicles to the US Army configuration, 3 each M88A2 vehicles to the USMC configuration, 2 each ASL engines, 2 each ASL transmissions, 2 each ASL left final drives, 2 each ASL right final drives, 2 ASL main winches, and an option for up to 125,000 hours of System Technical Support services. This acquisition is being initiated on a sole source basis with the M88A2 HERCULES manufacturer: United Defense Limited Partnership, Ground Systems Division, P.O box 15512, York, PA 17405-1512. A modification to Contract DAAE07-01-C-N030 with United Defense L.P. will be generated to execute this acquisition. Funding for this requirement has not yet been approved. The above quantities may vary or be cancelled completely subject to funding approval. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. See Note 22.
