- The South Dakota National Guard intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to award a single, firm fixed lump sum contract for construction services of a project entitled Add/Alter Bldg 60/64, PN: LUXC 039010 and LUXC 022371. Location of the proje ct is at the South Dakota Air National Guard, Joe Foss Field, 1201 West Algonquin St, Sioux Falls, SD. Contractor shall be responsible to provide all labor, equipment and material for the construction of a new 4,204 gross SF addition and a new 2,468 gross SF addition to Building 60 to include footings, slab-on-grade, CMU, brick veneer to match existing facade, insulation, fully adhered EDPM roof, exterior metals, and interior finishes. Site work for additions includes demolition, earthwork, concrete, asphal t, utilities, and landscaping. Contractor shall also be responsible to provide all labor, equipment and material for the remodeling of approximately 2,600 existing SF of Building 60 to include demolition, construction of walls and doors, window replacement , replacement of the buildings heating plant and piping, replacement of asbestos containing doors, and interior finishes. Contractor shall also be responsible to provide all labor, equipment, and material for the remodeling of approximately 1,878 existing SF of Building 64 including demolition, construction of walls and doors, and interior finishes. Mechanical work to include demolition, plumbing, and HVAC with DDC temperature controls. Electrical work to include exterior distribution, interior power, ligh ting, communications systems, grounding, and fire alarm systems. Construction services shall comply with the specifications and requirements contained in the solicitation/award documents. Contract performance period for construction services is 365 calenda r days after Notice to Proceed is acknowledged. IAW FAR 36.204, the estimated price range is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The contract will be awarded under Source Selection procedures specified in the solicitation. This project is being procured on an unrestricted basis. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1542. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 236210. The size standard for small businesses is $28.5 million annual receipt for the past 3 years. Solicitation documents wi ll be available o/a 8 April 05. A pre-proposal conference/site visit date/time will be listed in the solicitation document. Interested contractors and their potential subcontractors are encouraged to attend. The solicitation documents, all amendments, site visit minutes, etc. will be available at the Internet address http://sdguard.ngb.army.mil; then select Contract Solicitations. All contractors and subcontractors interested in this project must register at the website. If potential contractor has difficul ty downloading the initial solicitation documents from the website, they can provide the Contracting Officer with written request for a compact disc (CD) containing the projects initial solicitation documents. The written request must be e-mailed to the C ontracting Officer or faxed to 605/737-6752 marked Attn: P. Zolnowsky. Verbal requests for the solicitation package will not be accepted. The potential contractor is responsible to acquire all other solicitation related documents from the website. It is th e potential contractors responsibility to print the project's documents posted at http://sdguard.ngb.army.mil and/or on the compact disc. There is no cost for the plans and specifications; number of CDs available are limited and shall be issued on a first requested, first served basis. Prime Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractors Registration at http: www.ccr.gov to be eligible for award.
