Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for the repair of two high reach boom lifts at Offutt AFB, Nebraska prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation, Part 12. This announcement constitutes only the solicitation; quotations are being requested and a WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-24. This procurement is 100% set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423830. The small business size standard is 500 employees. The state of Nebraska, Sarpy County, Service Contract Act Wage Determination No.: 94-2325 Rev (28) is incorporated as a part of this solicitation. The vendor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items or services necessary to perform tasks as described below. Award will be based on price alone. No partial quotes will be considered. STATEMENT OF WORK—REPLACE CARPET, BLDGS 499 and 597. 1. Scope: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools and equipment to perform the following: Repair JLG Model 80HX High Reach includes: Remove, reseal, inspect and install telescoping cylinder; inspect and replace chains and pads as needed; and service engine on equipment. Repair JLG Model 110HX High Reach: Replace turn table lock, remove and reseal the steer cylinder and lift cylinder, repair or replace chain and pads on boom as needed, reseal torque hub, replace valve cover and service the engine. Equipment must meet annual certification requirments after repairs are complete. All debris and other material resulting from the work accomplished by the contractor under this statement of work will be disposed of outside the confines of Offutt Air Force Base in a manner appropriate with commercial practices. 2. General: The work under this contract must be performed at a qualified repair facility and be completed not later than 11 Mar 05. Please contact Mr. Dale Pennington, 55th CES/CEO2 (402) 294-4048 to arrange access to the base and the equipment. The contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) prior to award. If not already registered in CCR, go to www.ccr.gov to register prior to submitting a quote. The contractor shall also ensure their CCR reflects the NAICS code indicated for this solicitation.
