- SSA-OCO-05-0288: Maintenance for CANON Microfilm Equipment.SSA has a requirement for ongoing maintenance and repair services for CANON Microfilm Reader/Printers. The equipment is located in the SSA Metro West Building in downtown Baltimore, MD. The equipment includes 23 MS500 Digital Scanners, 23 100R Roll Carriers, 23 FilePrint 400 Laser Printers, 2 CD4046, 2 ED500 Endorsers and 30 MP60 Reader/printers. In addition, SSA has CANON equipment in its Underground Records Center located in Boyers, PA. The equipment includes: 10 MS500 Digital Scanners, 12 FP400 Printers, 12 100R Roll Carriers, 2 MS800 Digital Scanners and 30 MP60 Reader/Printers. Maintenance is required during normal business hours five days per week with next day service and two PM checks per year.. Maintenance must be provided by an authorized CANON Maintenance provider. SSA intends to negotiate and place an order for maintenance with MICROGRAPHIC EQUIPMENT DESIGN Inc (MEDI); 7225 Parkway Drive; Hanover, MD 21076 (Baltimore) and with I.M.R. Limited of Harrisburg, PA (Boyers). These are follow-on contracts to previous contracts issued to MEDI and IMR, the only known certified CANON maintenance supplier for the Baltimore and Boyers locations. The provider must be able to respond to service calls within 24 hours of notice, provide any required parts which shall be OEM quality, make any changes or updates to equipment as directed by CANON or SSA, provide a minimum of two (2) PM calls per year on all equipment, warrant all work for 12 months, and certify all technicians are CANON certified. SSA believes MEDI and IMR are the only "authorized maintenance providers for the referenced equipment". Any responsible Small Business who believes it has the necessary staff and resources to provide the described services should submit a complete capability statement (including documentation clearly demonstrating CANON certification) to provide maintenance on the equipment, list of qualified technicians with certifications, parts availability and industry experience to the Contracting Officer (at the address above) within seven (7) business days from the date of this notice. This is Not a request for proposals. SSA will not respond to, nor pay for requests for solicitations.
