- The purpose of this modification is to make the following changes: 1. Add line item 6, Hardware Maintenance 2. Remove the SOW 3. Change warranty expiration date 4. Change upstart cost for months warranty expired 5. Add the Detailed Products Schedule (uploaded file) Please replace original with the following. All other terms and conditions remain the same. This is a Combined Synopsis and Solicitation Item 1. Renewel of Sun Gold Warranty on Sun Server Hardware Item 2. Renewel of Sun Premium Warranty on Sun Server Software The Sun Warranty is to maintain both the software and hardware of equipment already purchased by the government. The Sun Gold Support shall be responsible for mailing new software updates and providing technical support to 526 ICBMSW/OMO. The Contractor will also provide the Government with technical support by phone when needed. The Sun Gold Warranty/ Support are for the items listed on Attachement 1, Detailed Product Schedule. The period of performance will be for 12 months (base years), plus 4 optional years at Hill AFB, UT. Quotes must be based on these 5 years. The start date will be 1 April 05 for all the software and hardware except for item 6 under hardware maintenance. The start date will be 1 August 05. This synopsis and solicitation is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is issued as a request for quote (RFQ) F6LMCO50485700. Submit written offers, oral offers will not be accepted. All firms or individuals responding must be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR). This procurement is being issued as 100% SMALL BUSINESS SET-ASIDE. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2001-17 and DFARS Change Notice 2003-1001. North American Industrial Classification Standard 541511 , Size Standard is $21 Million Dollars, applies to this procurement. The following provisions and clauses apply to this acquisition: FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal. The provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors--Commercial Items. Quotes will be evaluated on price related factors only. The provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, and the offeror must include a completed copy of this provision with their proposal. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders--Commercial Items.
